We are looking for great communicators who are able to talk to clients in a professional manner. The candidate for this role will have a working knowledge of many areas of infrastructure IT with a willingness to work hard and go above and beyond daily. Ideal candidates will have extraordinary problem-solving skills, great communication and people skills, and a thirst to learn the ins and outs of the IT industry. We are looking for self-starters who are capable of initiating and managing daily workflow and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
Daily work requirements include: monitoring incoming tickets, completing assignments remotely or on-site, project based implementation, upgrades, migrations, etc.
The candidate must have access to a reliable car and will be reimbursed for mileage, parking, and tolls for trips to and from the main office in San Francisco to various client sites throughout the bay.
Key Responsibilities for all candidates (not limited to):
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
Monitor and maintain computer systems and network
Talk clients through a series of actions, face to face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
Troubleshoot system and network problems
Diagnose and solve hardware or software faults
Replace parts as required
Support the roll-out of new applications
Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and resolve password issues
Respond to Helpdesk issues in a timely and efficient manner
Work continuously on a task until complete
Test and evaluate new technology
Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time
Hands-on desktop/ computer support experience, including some Mac skills
Ability to work and troubleshoot Windows, Mac OSX, and mobile devices
Basic understanding of PC hardware. Proficient in performing break/fix, installations, and upgrades
Experience in identifying, removing, and protecting against malware
Ability to follow up on assignments from senior members of the team, and complete tasks in a timely manner
Excel at making the workload and request/service process visible, and be accountable for work assignments
Ability to impress our clients with your top-notch verbal and written communication skills
Great judgment and analytical/ problem solving skills
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Reliable transportation and a driver’s license is required.
